Favignana and its goal

It is the only port of the same name, the largest of the Egadi. It is located near the center of the coast exposed to NE in the inlet named Cala Main, which extends between the Rocks and Punta Punta S. Nicola. The port consists of a pier headed NW along m. 110 and quay on the inside, from a pier (Pier S. Bernard) that, starting at the root of the previous reaches to m. 85 south and a wharf (Main Jetty) directed towards the NW along m. 110 from the shore and the center of Cala Main. To the east of the pier S. Leonardo is a sheltered harbor, where work is in progress of excavation and construction of docks and yards, intended to marina.
The port is frequented by fishing vessels, fishing boats, tuna boats from the nearby, by ferries and hydrofoils and, during the summer, from recreational craft.
